Everyday I miss you more....

a long haul to Holland

wooohooo, I missed bout a week not to post anything on this blog. I safely arrived in Wageningen August 19.

I must admitted that I failed to keep myself regularly post some notes

well, ok then I'll share some pics on my way here to Wageningen *phewww* what a tiring flight

the story begin w/ a messy schedule of my flight. I supposedly fly at 7.45 pm and I sharply arrived at the airport at around 5. Straightly went to the check in counter and shocked by a short comment from the officer that my flight was re-scheduled to 6.30 >>> means that I only have a very short time left to say goodbye to my parents and Benny *sigh*

After a rush goodbye followed by a rush boarding the aircraft, the flight stop by at Kuala Lumpur....

Mba Telly and Sacha were dying to get a connection w/ home:

I was too exhausted to find anyway to be in touch w/ my parents and Benny, I believe that they are ok to see me away.

After another 12 hours flight, we finally arrived at Schiphol Airport and being fetched up by some friends and directly took a train to Ede-Wageningen. And Yayyy...safely put my body down on the bed in my new room!

Yyyyaaay! Heading to Holland Baby....

Returned to Bogor w/ my fam yesterday was quite exhausting.

Despite messy condition of my house -- taking so much time to make it comfortable enough for my parents to stay ;p there were also a number of things I have to do here

But gladly to say, this morning everything has been sorted out, I packed and left unnecessary stuffs in the corner of my house...

Am flying w/ Malaysian Airline (MH) this evening, I already repacked my stuff and try to meet the MH free baggage allowed

*fiuhh* ready for a long haul and Europe experiences! :D

hometown turn me down

No, am not quit on blogging...

the only reason I didn't post anything these days is lack of credit on my internet card

well and the oh-so-slow internet connection in my hometown :(

am sick over the internet speed here. Even I already activated an extra-fast service but it came up sooooo far away from my expectation

dont ask me to upload a photo, that would kill me *pheww* -_-

Ramadhan Mubarak!

am glad that I can spend the first day of Ramadhan w/ my family in my hometown.

Such a journey back to my childhood. For the first Sahur, mom cooked me a very simple food but the best, I always miss her food....

Today is perfect if Benny were also here....

last nite, she ran to me, hold me tight and yell: "Tante Kiki, awas ada cuaca...!!" (read: Auntie, watchout...a 'weather' is coming!!)

*phewww*

she thinks that 'cuaca~weather' is some kind of a big-harmful-devastating creature

Novel Time

I have bout a week to be spent w/ my parents before departing to Holland.

I decided to bring three novels with me during this what-so-called holiday and just realized that all of them pictured shoes/leg on its cover

Lucky me, NUFFIC NESO - the Netherlands Support Office at my country - has an MoU w/ my flight airline, so the airline allows 10 Kgs more for free in addition to the normal baggage regulation. Yihhiy!

Btw, Benny keeps reminding me to bring this first aid kit. He always brings this anywhere he goes and wants me to do the same.

Uuuuuuw....glancing to the calendar and counting days.

I attended the pre-departure briefing today by the way, it was lots of fun..making friends, experiences sharing w/ the alumni, great time.

being w/ him is just perfect, I dont need to be a Angelina Jolie or super-woman, I only need to be me.

Empty Space

If you're asking me bout my feeling today: terrible. I am in between of excited, worried and sad. Today's my last day in the office. I am taking a week off to visit my parents in my hometown before departing to holland on August 18. So I cleaned up my working space and brought my stuffs home yesterday. They are not much, just fit these 2 bags...

New CDs

Ok, I know, 2 posts in a day is probably too much :D but I really want to share a little touching moment I had today...

It's been a long time I didnt visit my old friend at #DiscTarra. I used to ask her to keep me 1-2 new released CD and I'd picked them up later. Our small chit-chat was growing by time. I sometimes bring her donuts or anything I can share during my visit to the store, she never forget to text me when a new acoustic CD is on the store. Well then my working load was keeping me away from updating my music bank.

Today, after finishing my late lunch, I was planning to buy 1-2 new CDs as it's quite a long time I didnt hear new tunes either on my iPod or my Mac. Fortunately I finally meet her in the store and as always we had a small chat, she offered me some new acoustic and jazz and I ended up w/ a SABA CD + compilation. During our talk, I told her bout my plan to go abroad in the near future and surprisingly she handed me some more CD plus a glass of mocktail...here I share you the pic

Hihihi...what a good coincidence! I am thirsty w/ new tunes and someone gives me a bunch of it :D Thank You Mba Amie, semangat ya kuliahnya..smp ktmu 2 thn lagi.

Girls Time

Following my previous post bout the farewell at my boss's house, I also spent a whole day w/ the girls the day before. We've been a best friend since we're in the university.

I left Bogor round 10 in the morning w/ Fio, our first destination was Nana's house. I was quite surprised to know that her room is perfecto...you can do almost anything in her room, hahaha. Her fridge is fully stocked by vegetables, frozen food, milk, wooooo almost everything you need. Small stove and rice cooker are there and convince me that they're frequently used.

OK, enough w/ the room, we felt a bit hungry and decided to go to our favorite place - seafood restaurant: D'Cost at Kemang.

We dont need so much time to finish all this food, and taaa daaa...done! :D

Unfortunately I didnt take so much pics, but after the whole day of fun we ended up in a karaoke lounge...am not sure what Fio (left) and Nana (right) sing, but we never had a higher score than 70 :p

Thanks girls, would love to see you at least one more time before Aug 18.........

First Post - Farewell Party!

Well, am finally blogging, it is not because am a good writer. Frankly, it's mostly because am heading to start my study abroad and pretty sure I'll experience some good (and probably bad - hope not) things then :)

I'll be moving on shortly, my flight Jakarta-Amsterdam is 18 of August (damn, it's less than 2 weeks left!) and having an introduction week right after that. The class will be started early Sep. I do hope I can follow the courses well, am not sure how competitive is the class and have no idea about Europe, European, its educational system, so on and so forth.

This first post is about the farewell party. This party is not fully intended for me, but also for 2 friends from US that just finished their summer internship here at our center. They are leaving this week, so we had some kind of a back-to-back farewell party last sunday August 1 hehe. Our boss was kindly hosting the party at his beautiful house w/ a swimming pool (Thank you Pak :D ).

bout 20 people were there, including them: (I know, please Doddy - who's on earth still working in a party... :p ) --- for sure I'll miss them

I think that's for now, hope it's not boring and good enough as a start..will try to keep writing and update this page
